Does Timber Trails Only Design for SIPS, or Other Green Building Methods?

Does Timber Trails only design for SIPs, or other green building methods?

Timber Trails’ designs support many forms of conventional construction and “green building” methods.

Our prefabricated “hybrid” structures are SIPs-based for walls and roofing, using a mixed use of structural insulated panels (SIPs), steel framing members, or stick-built methods where most applicable or cost effective for you.

Our plan sets are designed for SIPs, and custom design projects can be designed for a wide variety alternative structural materials and insulation types. Since SIP and conventional designs are roughly the same — fields of material for walls, roofing, or flooring at 4.5″, 6.5″, 8.25″, 10.25″, or 12.25″ — our designs are easily adapted for many types of building methodologies.

In the end, SIPs make your construction fast, easy, and “green,” but SIPs are not the only means of construction you can employ. As such, we welcome the opportunity to work with you on the creation of a cabin, cottage, or tiny house design that can be built any way you choose.
